The family came to visit....YAY!!!

Well to start this off....I have the BEST family in the whole world, and I want them to move to Tahoe!! My family got to come visit me this last week, and I cannot get over how amazing this trip was. These are only a few of the pictures, the rest are on facebook. They got in Tuesday night, and we BBQ'd with the Swanson's and relaxed. Then Wednesday we woke up bright and early and headed for the lake on the boat. We cruised along the north shore and got to check that area out. Then went by the Whitell mansion and got to see the Thunderbird (which was awesome) and continued on to Chimney beach where we achored up for most of the day. We were able to do lots of swimming and soaked up the sun. We then went out to dinner at Garwood's; a great restraunt on the lake with amazing drinks called Wet Woody's MMMM!! Thursday we toured Tahoe City, hiked Eagle Rock, went by my work to swim, drove to Emerald Bay, and sat on the beach at D.L. Bliss State Park. Then BBQ'd at my house and played put-put golf (sooo much fun!). Friday we drove up to Truckee and walked around ate an amazing GF meal (unlike Wed. morning :/). To finish up that day we went swimming down at the Swanson's pier and relaxed on their last night in town. All together it was amazing, and everyone had a great time! I wish it could have lasted much longer, I look forward to next summer!!!

Now I am back to work and school. UGH! I cannot beleive it is already the 20th of July, and I will be headed back to Oregon and Montana in just about a month. I should be working on school right now so I better get back to that!

work....

Work has started and this is a picture of my view from my "office"

I started work this last saturday, and somehow managed to get a raise on my first day!! I am now the supervisor/head guard for the area I work at. I love everyone I work with, and so far its been a lot of fun. I am really busy with school right now. I am finishing up my first two classes (they end next week), and today I started my third and final class for the the summer. My third class ends late July, so I am looking forward to the month of August being a school-free month!!! The weather here has been interesting, its been windy and overcast the last few days. By the end of the week they are saying high 80's, I look forward to that. That's all for now, I will hopefully get around to updating this again soon.

Raining in Tahoe

This weekend I was busy with lifeguard training, and school. It has gotten colder the last few days, it supposed to be in the 60's this week. Which kind of bums me out, I was getting used to all the sun! This week I will be working on lots of school, and possibly camping (if I get it all finished before Wednesday).  This week I will have more lifeguard training to do. This life-guarding job will be a little different than working out at BBR. I will be guarding a pool and a swim area in the lake.....with a bar right next to the swim area on the pier. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen. I just found out which weekend my parents are coming to visit. I am so excited for them to come see our place. They are coming in July, and I cannot wait!!! These pictures were taken off of Tyler's pier and the other is on our porch after a big rain storm : )

Update...

I have started my training for my new life-guarding job. Its pretty boring, and very cold in the water. It has been very warm this week, mostly in the 70's up here at the lake and 80's down in Reno. The cabin is starting to feel like home, we were able to put up some sheets for doors. There are a lot of spiders and other weird creepy insects in the house. Also in the neighborhood we have seen a bear walking down the street, coyotes running in front of our house, a few raccoons live under our porch and some neighbors said there is a bobcat around here somewhere. I don't start working until the 8th of June, so I  have been passing time by reading, school work, cleaning, and of course laying in the sun!!!! I have a busy week of school ahead of me with two tests, and an essay. Tyler's parents live in a neighborhood that has a private pier, which I spend a lot of time at (I'm lucky I know). Tyler is doing really well, he is very happy to be home. Well thats all for now, my computer is about to die......

The beginning of a Tahoe summer

I have arrived safe and sound, and finally all moved in. After camping up near Hood River, Oregon with some Montana boys, and then a week at home I have made my way to Tahoe. I have included some pictures of our house and some others. This is my first time blogging, and I will do my best to update it as much as possible. I find this easier then sending out an email, this way your guys can read about what is going on in my life whenever.
